R-PASS (TM)
(REMOTE PROCESS ASSURANCE SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM)
Infinity Technology, Inc. in cooperation with Lockheed Martin (LM) and the US Air Force, has embarked on a project to develop a world class Process Validation Software Application for Quality Assurance and Surveillance efforts. This new product will facilitate the transition from 100% on-site inspections to occasional site visits and remote data collection.
R-PASS (TM) provides enterprise oversight throughout a multi-tiered supplier base.
R-PASS (TM) will reduce the cost of oversight inspections, in addition to improving the timeliness and value of data.
Incorporation of the Lockheed Martin Process Validation Point "grid" methodology in the software architecture will allow early detection of unfavorable trends and initiation of measures that prevent problems from developing.
The implementation of a web-based facility will allow direct entry of data by suppliers, resulting in early availability of data at the manufacturers' locations.
Incorporation of an interface facility that allows consolidation of detailed supplier data collected via various data feeds will result in availability of more timely and detailed information.
R-PASS (TM) will provide manufacturers with facilities to consolidate detailed manufacturing data using data exchange software which will facilitate the implementation of Continuous Quality Control (CQC) for critical assemblies.
The graphic application environment will be capable of managing thousands of relationships at one computer screen which allows the management of complex relationships between customers, suppliers, contracts, assemblies, and parts, resulting in significant cost reductions in planning and executing on-site and remote inspections.
The Knowledge Base feature can be compiled with Inspector Resource Profiles, Supplier Site Locations and Standards. Searches across the Knowledge Base can be used to optimize travel planning, chaining of site visits, and dispatching of experienced inspectors for critical inspections.
Implementation of 'best practices' as in-line processes within the software system will allow the system to ensure that process steps are not skipped, missed, performed by the wrong resources, performed early, or performed too late.
Implementation of 'compliance control' at key points along workflows will allow the software system to block processing when important deviations from 'best practices' are made.
Inspection Kits that highlight process steps along workflows, together with all forms needed to report on completed steps, will be available for download resulting in simplification of data collection during on-site inspections.
The Data Exchange Software Component will facilitate data collection from multiple sources and formats resulting in improved data consolidation at the Air Force's data warehouse and facilitate reporting across suppliers using third party reporting tools.
