In anticipation of a task award, we are looking for multiple Stress Analysis Engineers for one of our customers in the Littleton, CO area. The selected candidate will provide support in the areas of Finite element and classical stress analysis on a manned spacecraft. This assignment is expected to last through December 2010 with the possibility of extension.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Perform finite element and classical stress analysis of various support structures for development and flight hardware;
• Perform preliminary and final analyses, part sizing, fatigue/fracture assessment, drawing coordination and sign-off, test support and correlation, analysis presentations, and documentation of analyses for deliverable stress and fracture reports.

Education and/or Experience:

·         BS in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field preferred;

·         Minimum 3 years of related experience required;

·         Working knowledge of finite element analysis tools such as NASTRAN, IDEAS/FEMAP or similar;

·         Working knowledge of stress analysis principles, classical stress analysis techniques, and familiarity with fatigue analysis.

• Demonstrated creativity in mechanical design and analysis capability.
• Leadership and direction skills, including the ability to interface with other engineering disciplines.
• Strong customer relationship skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working for or with the military, government agencies, and/or prime contractors is preferred.
